Guy & Eva Solstice Collection — Jewelry as Bright and Hot as the Summer Sun

Leave the black, gray, and burgundy for the fall.
Leave the black, gray, and burgundy for the fall.
As many of you know, I recently became one of the resident style bloggers for Flechada.com, a leading online retailer specializing in fashion and jewelry designers hailing from Latin America.
Whether you’re celebrating the man who taught you how to ride a bike, who helped you with your math homework, who cheered you on at soccer games and track races or you’re toasting the father of your own children, that special fella who tucks the kids in at night, teaches them the importance of discipline and hard work, tends to their scrapes and cuts, makes them roar in laughter with his silly antics, and treats them to the best BBQ in town, we’ve got a Father’s Day gift that will make the lucky guy beam happily this coming Sunday.
Though some modern cinematic adaptations of classic fairy tales have fallen flat with audiences — the recently released Mirror Mirror and last year’s Riding Hood among the culprits — the Charlize Theron- and Kristen Stewart-helmed Snow White and the Huntsmen promises to change this trend with an edgier, more gothic take on the classic tale, an emphasis on visual effects and epic-feeling cinematography, and top-notch performances from an A-level cast.
Legendary French poet, essayist, and playwright Victor Hugo once wrote, “A mother’s arms are made of tenderness, and children sleep soundly in them.”
This Mother’s Day try a little tenderness to celebrate the solace-providing women in your life — those who cradled you as a baby, bathed and fed you, chased away your childhood nightmares, kissed every boo-boo and nursed every cold, made sure you excelled in school, and instilled the values that transformed you into the strong, independent, beautiful entity you are today.
Every spring, designers bring us flowers, literally plastering roses, daffodils, peonies, orchids, poppies, lilies, daisies, bluebells, sunflowers, hydrangeas, marigolds, and tulips all over ladylike skirts, dresses, blouses, tanks, pants, handbags, pumps, sandals, jumpsuits, light coats, and rompers.
Do you often find the daily hustle so overwhelming that you actually contemplate tattooing notes on your body a la Leonard Shelby (rent Memento if the reference eludes you)?
With Valentine’s Day inching closer and closer, we know you’re probably fretting about what to get your mom, kids, co-workers, friends, and mates — and, of course, you’re likely dropping not-so-subtle hints about what you’d like to receive from your guy (or girl) on the special day.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve escorted you through an alphabet-themed safari of holiday gift ideas in which each letter corresponded to a theme, pattern, style or art movement, color, aesthetic, or trend.
