What I Wore: My Autumn Sunday Brunch Style

It’s almost cliché to say that brunch is my favorite meal, but it’s the truth.

Don’t feel like dressing up this Halloween?
Though there’s an entire category for light-hearted, feel-good, fun-loving books that capture the carefree vibe of the summer season — otherwise known as “beach reads” — autumn is actually my favorite time of year for curling up on the couch or sipping a cup of tea while reading a gripping and engrossing book.
With the live action Jem and the Holograms film opening on October 23rd, fans of the ’80s cartoon are breaking out their star-shaped earrings and pastel pink hair dye.
Despite its cringe-worthy name, the “pussy-bow blouse” — the proper name for a shirt with a big and floppy bow at the neckline — has long been affiliated with female power-dressing.
Jon Hamm finally got his trophy (sure, Don Draper had to get sucked into a hippie cult in the process, but hey!) and Viola Davis made history as the first black woman to win the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series award, but save for those two moments, the 2015 Emmys were about as titillating as a trip to the DMV.

Artists Dana Veraldi and Kevin Tekinel, the duo behind the T-shirt brand Deer Dana, have amassed a cult following thanks to their quirky and clever illustrated portraits of pop culture icons ranging from Bruce Springsteen and Howard Stern to Sade, Grace Jones, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Larry David, and Frida Kahlo.
Earlier today, I stopped by Telemundo 47’s Acceso Total to showcase some of ShoeDazzle’s newest styles (each retailing for under $50!) and speak on how the chosen pieces spoke to this season’s prevalent footwear trends: from fringe detailing to color-blocking and the resurgence of the high-heeled Mary Jane pump.
When envisioning her second capsule collection for AG Jeans, British TV presenter, model, and street style icon Alexa Chung imagined a gang of female misfits storming through the desert, a group of powerful forces worthy of Beyoncé’s “Run The World (Girls)” music video or Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” video — except that, instead of leather bustiers, cropped military jackets, metallic harnesses, regal headpieces, billowing capes, fingerless leather gloves, epaulets, and bandoliers, Chung’s rogue roamers prefer a wardrobe filled with denim pieces.
