Travel to “The Land of Ooo” with the Adventure Time x Mimobot USB Flash Drive Series

I’m a big old kid at heart which comes in rather handy when you have young children who beg and plead for you to sit next to them as they watch Spongebob Squarepants, Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!, The Fairly Oddparents and other silly animated fare. And while I’m embarrassed to admit it, I can say I’ve pretty much got my finger on the pulse of what’s hot in children’s TV (yes, I know, that’s hardly a feat that comes with bragging rights). But I have to admit I wasn’t familiar with Cartoon Network‘s Adventure Time beyond some off-hand references made by my enthusiastic 8-year-old son. So, of course, when I learned about the new collaboration between Cartoon Network and designer USB brand Mimoco, a collection of four Mimobot USB flash drives shaped after the Adventure Time characters, I had to call upon the expertise of my in-house cartoon expert:  the lovely Giovanni (otherwise known as my 8-year-old son).

Here’s the scoop on Adventure Time, per Giovanni: “It’s about a little boy named Finn who goes on adventures and has a sword like Link in Zelda, and he destroys all the evil creatures. He has this dog, Jake, that changes into all kinds of shapes because,you know, he’s magic. Oh, and Finn likes this princess and he saves her — kind of like Mario and Princess Peach in Super Mario Bros.” So there you have it, folks: straight from the mouth of a loyal viewer.

The new Adventure Time x Mimobot USB flash drive collection, then, brings to life the residents of The Land of Ooo, a post-magical universe divided into such kingdoms as the Candy Kingdom, Fire Kingdom, Ice Kingdom, and Wildberry Kingdom, all surrounded by forest land, villages, and towns. The series focuses on: Finn, who is depicted wearing his camail-style head covering, his signature blue tee and shorts, and a green backpack with a sword tucked into it (visible when you turn the figure around);  Jake, the most cartoonish piece in the bunch, with large eyes and an oversize mustache over his open mouth, which reveals a sheepish grin; Princess Bubblegum, who dons her purple-tinged magenta gown and wears an emerald-adorned tiara on her long lavender-ish pin mane; and Fionna, the female version of Finn created by the Ice King (note the long blond hair peeking out from her headwear, the scoopneck style of her blue tee, and the pink color of the sword she carries in her green backpack).

All Adventure Time x Mimobot USB flash drives come with storage capacities ranging from 8GB t0 64 GB (prices range accordingly from $19.99 to$69.99 at Mimoco.com) and come with such pre-loaded content as Adventure Time episodes, sound bytes, and icons and wallpapers to add some personality to your laptop, mobile device, or tablet.
