I said it (and tweeted it) last night, and I’ll do so again: Margot Robbie had hands-down the best lip of the evening. Even though her Saint Laurent dress was fairly simple, the actress looked ravishing thanks to her statement-making pout and sleek bob.

Guided by the idea of old Hollywood glamour, makeup artist Tyron Machhausen created Robbie’s look for the evening using Hourglass Cosmetics. He started by prepping the skin with the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer, then followed with the Hourglass Veil Fluid Makeup in Honey & Beige, blending the two shades to achieve the perfect match to her natural skin tone. Hourglass Hidden Corrective Concealer in Sand was applied under the eyes to camouflage any dark under-eye circles.

Next, to contour the cheeks, Machhausen relied on two of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder shades, using the golden bronze Radiant Light shade along the hollows of the cheeks to accentuate Robbie’s bone structure and then brushing the Luminous Light shade onto her cheekbones as a highlight.

The eye look was kept rather minimal, with no eye shadows or eye glosses used. In fact, the only products used was the Hourglass 1.5 mm Mechanical Gel Eyeliner, which was applied to the inside of her lash line to create the illusion of fuller and denser lashes, and two coats of the Hourglass Film Noir Mascara to give her top lashes color, definition, and volume.

As for that statement lip, it was achieved by lining the pout with the creamy and long-lasting Hourglass Panoramic Long Wear Lip Pencil in Raven, then applying  the Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Raven, an orange-tinged red with a demure matte finish.
