The Drink Of Choice During NYFW — Starbucks Coffee Frappuccino Light
Aside from the runway shows, one of the best things to pop up at the Bryant Park tents this year during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (Feb.11th through Feb. 18th) was a cozy Starbucks booth offering exhausted editors, writers, store buyers, bloggers, and fashion gurus a much-needed caffeine boost to help them get through their packed schedules. Though there were instant coffee packets and hot water thermos on hand for those wanting a warm Cup of Joe, the most buzz-worthy offering was the new ready-to-serve bottled Frappuccino Light drink, available in Vanilla or Mocha.
Made with skim milk and arabica coffee beans and flavored with Splenda, the Frappuccino Light drinks are a refreshing and guilt-free, perk-you-up treat. Each bottle contains only 100 calories — that means the Vanilla Lite flavor has 50% fewer calories than a regular Vanilla Frappuccino, whereas the Mocha Lite flavor has 40% fewer calories than its non-lite counterpart. Even the models backstage were indulging in these creamy coffee drinks, which were stocked in mini fridges to keep them nice and cool.
Make sure to look out for these at Starbucks stores and select food and beverage retailers!
Thanks to the Starbucks team for providing me with some free Frappuccino Light bottles to try out!
