For Spring 2011, Korean husband-and-wife design team Seokwon Andy Kim and Wonjeong Debbie Yoon, the duo behind the buzzy Andy & Debb line, showcased a Mod-flavored collection with a muted and slightly retro color palette, architectural tailoring details, as well as quirky chandelier, Rorschach ink blot, and concentric circle prints. To keep the look ladylike but modernize it with an edgy twist, Shu Uemura Art of Hair lead stylist Matthew Morris (not to be confused with Glee star Matthew Morrison) created a low, teased ponytail with ample volume.

To create the look, Morris applied the mineral-infused Shu Uemura Art of Hair Liquid Fabric to damp hair in order to give tresses a bit more texture, then blow dried the hair using a large round brush. Next, he applied the Shu Uemura Art of Hair Fiber Lift to give the hair more body and flexible hold. After gathering the hair into a low ponytail and securing it with an elastic, Morris teased the hair within the pony using a fine-toothed comb. To give the look hold, he then sprayed Shu Uemura Art of Hair Sheer Lacquer.

At the very top, you’ll find images of the finished look (including the fresh makeup with consisted of creamy pale peach lips and a peachy apricot blush on the apples of the cheeks), taken right outside Lincoln Center minutes after the Andy & Debb presentation had concluded.
