Smoking Slippers Seen On Our Telemundo “Mujer De Hoy” Segment

On Friday, I appeared on Telemundo’s “Mujer de Hoy” segment, discussing this season’s smoking slipper trend. In the segment, I spoke of how smoking slippers earned their moniker, a phenomenon that dates back centuries to when members of the British aristocracy wore velvet numbers embroidered with their family crests within their homes, sporting the comfortable but dapper slippers with tuxedo jackets and blazers to relax in their libraries or lounges and smoke their pipes or cigars. And, of course, I discussed how the once masculine slipper has been reinvented for a female audience through the use of fun patterns, fabrics, and embellishments.

If you watched the segment and fell madly in love with one of the styles featured — or, if you’ve simply been searching high and low for a pair of your own — check out these smoking slippers, all of which were shown during the segment. In addition to brand names and prices, you’ll know where to buy them, so you can scoop them up right away!

Featuring pony hair uppers in a tan leopard print, the Karie slippers also boast a black tassel accent along the toe. These were modeled by Stacey Giambastiani and paired with a MadeMe dress and MadeMe leather jacket with a leopard print collar (as seen at time mark 1:04).
