What happens when you combine the colorful, quirky, illustration-heavy aesthetic of Australian fashion brand Black Milk Clothing with Solestruck’s penchant for bold footwear silhouettes with audacious patterns and unexpected details? Well, you get the Black Milk Clothing x Solestruck Shoes collection, of course! The limited-edition collection consists of four footwear styles, each available in three to four unique patterns.

The four shoe silhouettes are: Alex, a Chelsea bootie with a 3/12″-tall stacked heel, elastic inserts along the sides with of the shaft with pull-on loops for easy on-and-off, and nylon uppers; Madeleine,  a T-strap sandal with on-trend side cut-outs, an almond toe, a chunky 3 1/2″-tall rubber heel and a 1″front  platform, and exaggeratedly lugged soles; Charli, a lace-up, printed hi-top sneaker with a 3 1/2″ heel and a 2 1/4″ platform, as well as a hidden wedge; and Kristy, a low-profile slip-on sneaker with a 1/2″ heel.

Most styles are available in the four prints shown above in respect to the Black Milk Clothing x Solestruck Shoes Alex bootie ($164.95 at Solestruck.com). Above, at top, is the Alex bootie in the “Who’s That Cat” print, which features whimsical illustrations of feline critters, each with a unique personal style, so that one kitty accessorizes with a beanie cap topped with a fluffy pom-pom and a matching scarf, another dons a pink bow on one of its pointed ears, another flaunts a Western-flavored fedora with a sheriff-style star, and yet another has a spiked collar and a faux hawk.  Second, there’s the Alex bootie in the “I Eat Mice,” pattern, a snakeskin print with burnout velvet scales. Third, there’s the bootie in the “Gorgeous Garden Navy” print, which depicts flowering branches of lily blossoms in shades of white and honeysuckle pink. And last, at top, you can see the Alex in “Black Burned Velvet,” which features paisley and floral patterns in embossed velvet.

If you love these patterns, then check out how they look on the Black Milk Clothing x Solestruck Shoes Madeline chunky sandal ($164.95 at Solestruck.com), shown first below in the “Who’s That Cat” pattern; the Black Milk Clothing x Solestruck Shoes Charli platform sneakers($184.95 at Solestruck.com), shown second below in the “Black Burned Velvet” pattern; and the Black Milk Clothing x Solestruck Shoes Kristy slip-ons ($164.95 at Solestruck.com), shown third below in the “Gorgeous Garden Navy” print.

I personally love the Alex booties and the Madeline sandals — particularly in the Gorgeous Garden Navy print and the “Who’s That Cat” (and I’m not even a cat person!).
