Sally Hansen Halloween 2012 Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips Designs — Girly Ghoulish Fun

If you were smitten with the new Sally Hansen Halloween 2012 Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips designs featured in our Halloween goodie showcase, then we’ve got a special treat for you (no tricks over here!). Three of the five Halloween-themed nail strips are brand new, limited-edition releases: Batty For You, which features a metallic purple backdrop covered with black bats; How Corny, which features a metallic white backdrop with scattered triangles meant to resemble candy corns; and Patch-O-Lanterns, which features a jack-o-lantern motif accomplished via a black backdrop with orange facial features including a triangular nose, almond-shaped eyes, and a jagged and broad smile. The other two designs — Spun For You, featuring a silver cobweb motif, and Numbskull, boasting a punk-flavored skull-and-crossbones print — were originally introduced as part of last year’s Halloween-themed Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips collection and, due to their overwhelming popularity, re-released this year.  To give you nail-loving readers a look at the new designs, I snapped shots of the How Corny and Batty For you designs.

Below, you’ll find shots of the Sally Hansen How Corny Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips, which feature a metallic pearl white backdrop with  triangular shapes featuring a slightly rounded base. Like candy corn pieces, each triangle shape features a gradient color scheme, transitioning from a golden egg yolk shade at the base to a pumpkin orange at the center and a pearly white at the apex. And, like candy corn, this nail design is sweet, playful, and evocative of Halloween.

Next, check out the Batty For You design, which includes a metallic amethyst purple backdrop and black bat illustrations that feature these spooky creatures with wings outspread, as if flapping their way to a haunted castle. Every time I look at the design, I remember Prince’s “Batdance” video since, in which dancers clad as either the Joker, in purple suits with red shirts and green tresses, or as Batman, with black cloaks featuring winged sleeves and face-covering cowls featuring pointy bat ears.
