Open Your Eyes With Relastin’s Eye Silk
I don’t want the circles around my eyes to be more noticeable than Saturn’s rings. As a matter of fact, I don’t want any circles, arches or other geometric shapes around my eyes — period. Though that might sound like a simple enough desire, between my hectic schedule and gravity’s cruel ways, I’ve had to suffer through puffiness, wrinkling and darkness around the eyes. Fortunately, I found an eye treatment that deflates those balloons below the eyes and visibly tightens the skin around the area: Relastin’s Eye Silk. Apparently, Allure magazine co-signs my endorsement since it just named Relastin Eye Silk the “Best Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream.”
Relastin’s signature Zinc Firming Complex stimulates the production of elastin, which restores elasticity to sagging skin, while ingredients such as Mica help to brighten the area. The Eye Silk is packaged in an airtight pump bottle, so you don’t have to worry about free radicals diluting the formula, plus you can dispense only the necessary amount. One thing I love about this product is the gel-like texture. It really does feel incredibly silky — lightweight without being oily or watery. It glides between your fingertips so easier than melted butter but with a slightly creamier feel. When you first pat the gel around your eyes, you’ll literally feel the skin tightening a bit — especially around the corners of your eyes. But the sensation is not uncomfortable at all — it’s actually enjoyable because it’s the slight sting that accompanies results, much like the ache you feel after a good workout.
I noticed the puffiness lessen only minutes after applying the Eye Silk and, for me, any lines and wrinkles started to become less visible after about 3-4 weeks of use. In terms of the dark circles around the eyes, I did notice a bit of difference, but I can’t say that’s this cream’s forté. If your main concern is dark circles, I’d probably suggest adding a different eye cream to the rotation (perhaps something like Wei East’s China Herbal Eyes Alive, Origins’ A Perfect World for Eyes, or Sundari’s Neem Eye Cream), but for anti-aging results, Relastin’s Eye Silk is a solid investment.
