Rebecca Minkoff Sample Sale Kicks Off On Monday, May 5th

No one loves a great sale quite like yours truly — and, every year, I anticipate the Rebecca Minkoff spring sample sale like a 6-year-old waiting for Santa and his bulging sack of toys. As it turns out, this year’s sample sale kicks off on my birthday, May 5th, which makes it feel all the more fortuitous. Clearly, the starting date signifies that rushing to the sample sale and nabbing some key wardrobe pieces is part of a major cosmic plan, right?

But truth be told, a Rebecca Minkoff sample sale is a birthday treat for everyone — even who won’t be blowing out any candles for another eight or nine months. After all, savvy shoppers will find Minkoff’s gorgeous handbags, shoes, ready-to-wear clothing, and accessories at up to 75% off!

The pieces pictured above offer a tiny sneak peek at some of the virtual steals you’ll discover when you shop the sale. Made of 100% red silk, the Rebecca Minkoff Becky Jacket, shown above at top, will be available for $180 (originally $368). Edgy design details like single lapels that run all the way down to the hemline and triangular notches along the bottom of each front panel make this garment feel both sophisticated and modern. If you want a more ladies-who-lunch look, try getting the Roxy Jacket, pictured fourth above. Available for $250 (from $448), the Chanel-inspired piece is made of cherise multi tweed and  features a classic striped pattern, as well as more youthful accents like intricate embroidery along the zippered placket, stud accents at the cuffs, and slimmer stripes in contrasting colors along the inserted waist panels for a figure-flattering effect. For a dressier take on shorts, meanwhile, check out the Rebecca Minkoff Z Shorts, which will be on sale for $125 (from $198). These 100% cotton shorts, featuring a white-and-navy embroidered lace pattern, will look polished with wedges and strappy sandals.

And, of course, no Rebecca Minkoff sale would be complete without some handbags! To give you a taste of the bag-travaganza you’ll find at the sample sale, check out two of the reduced price pieces up for grabs. Pictured second from top, the cobalt blue Amorous Satchel will go for $150, more than 50% less than its original $325 price tag. This structured bag is made from 100% saffiano leather and features elegant tonal stitching accents as well as gunmetal-toned metal accents. If you’re in the market for a smaller bag, meanwhile, consider buying the Quilted Mini Affair, pictured last above. Made of 100% genuine leather in a chic white shade, this stunning bag features diamond quilting all over its surface, a triangular fold-over flap with curved edges, conical gold-toned studs adorning the flap, and a chain link strap with interwoven white leather. The bag originally retails for $225 and will be on sale for $125.
