This is the spirit that Cavalli sought to channel via his new eponymous scent, created via a partnership with Coty Prestige. Meant to stand as the luxury brand’s signature fragrance, Roberto Cavalli’s Roberto Cavalli Eau de Parfum Spray ($65 for 1.7 oz. or $85 for 2.5 oz. at Sephora.com) is as electrifying as it is seductive. Hardly a wallflower, this amber floral fragrance, created by Louise Turner of Givaudan, features a spicy, exhilarating, provocative top note of pink peppercorn, a feminine and alluring orange blossom heart, and a base of roasted tonka beans that feels crisp and earthy, sensual and warm.
Unlike other scents, which can take hours to truly unravel, this one hooks you instantly. Like looking at a stunning Cavalli gown on the red carpet and being unable to gaze elsewhere, this perfume ensnares your olfactory senses, and yet all you want is to prolong that captivity, to bask in the glory of this brazen but beautiful scent. And, fortunately, the scent will remain on the skin as many as five hours after your first spritz it on, so that its impression is truly a lasting one.
 The bottle, meanwhile, speaks to Cavalli’s reverence toward the female form. A solid glass bottle accentuates the strength of the feminine character, while the curved sides celebrate a voluptuous woman’s natural silhouette. At the bottle’s neck, you’ll find a slim ring with a tiger print that references Cavalli’s long history of drawing inspiration from wildlife to create mesmerizing prints. The bottle’s cap, meanwhile, resembles a golden crown thanks to the mirrored “R” and “C” letters at the heart of the Cavalli signature stamp.
