New Balance’s Black Licorice 442 Collection Makes Feet Happy

I’ll admit: I’m not the most practical woman. When sneaker shopping, I’m more likely to select the style with the bells and whistles (well, not literally, since a plastic whistle dangling from some laces would be mega tacky, but you catch my drift). If there’s a zany print involved (a zebra or giraffe print, perhaps), an unexpected color scheme, or an interesting mix of materials (like faux ostrich skin or embossed leather), I’m all over it. The New Balance Black Licorice 442 collection features three smooth, black leather sneakers that are functional and versatile but still have a funky, flashy side thanks to the neon pops of color along the soles, the embroidered seal on the tongues, and the embroidery outlining the “N” on the sides.
