Kick Things up a Notch with New Keds x eos Sneaker Collection

If you’ve watched Dirty Dancing enough times, you’ll remember that, while practicing her dance moves around the resort, Baby was routinely clad in bitty shorts and Keds sneakers. The brand’s canvas kicks have long epitomized laid-back, sporty, All-American style thanks to their versatility, their streamlined and bulk-free silhouette, and their fuss-free and minimalist design. Over the years, classic styles like the Keds Champion sneaker have been reinvented with lively prints and splashy colors. For Spring 2015, Keds has derived inspiration from an unlikely yet genius source: the colorful packaging and fruity flavors of eos Smooth Sphere Lip Balms.

The Keds x eos Collection, then, consists of three sneakers available exclusively at ShoeCarnival.com, each inspired by the round spheres in which the antioxidant-rich, shea butter-packed, jojoba oil-enriched lip balms are nestled. The three styles in the collection are: the Keds Champion EOS Blueberry Açai ($50 at ShoeCarnival.com), which features the flexible rubber traction outsole and vulcanized construction associated with these lace-up sneakers, as well as canvas uppers in a baby blue shade that perfectly matches the packaging of the eos Blueberry Açai Smooth Sphere lip balm; the Keds Champion EOS Passion Fruit ($50 at ShoeCarnival.com), featuring canvas uppers in a soft lilac color inspired by the eos Passion Fruit Smooth Sphere Lip Balm’s packaging; and the Keds Double Up EOS Pomegranate Raspberry ($55 at ShoeCarnival.com), which feature a 1″ platform, canvas uppers in a perky honeysuckle pink, and a whimsical print inspired by the egg shape of the eos Smooth Spheres in a deeper pink hue.

Each limited-edition sneaker features a horizontal stripe matching its respective canvas uppers along its rubber sidewall, as well as a cheeky lip icon accent at the midsole, and three lace options (including glittery laces for a bit of flash). And, since this collaboration is all about smooth lips and stylish strides, each sneaker comes with the eos Smooth Sphere that inspired its design!
