Casio’s line of Baby-G watches continues expanding, seemingly taking heed Doug E. Fresh’s words, “To the tick tock ya don’t stop/To the tick tock ya don’t quit” — and, in the process, upping its street cred. After collaborating with New York-based street wear brands like Hellz Bellz and Married to the Mob, Baby-G is looking to the Left Coast, teaming up with L.A. clothing and accessories label Joyrich. Like Casio, Joyrich boasts Japanese roots and much of its aesthetic is grounded in Tokyo street style trends, which are then tweaked to  cater to the laid-back, carefree, beach-y vibe beloved by Angelenos. Since both brands enjoy catering to a modern woman with a risk-taking approach to personal style, the Baby-G x Joyrich watch boasts an audacious, spunky, edgy look.

The Casio Baby-G x Joyrich BG6900JR-4 watch (available for $110 at  JoyrichStore.com through June and at Macy’s, Nordstrom and Bloomingdales stores in July) features a cartoonish  leopard print band, with a matte, pale peachy pink backdrop and dark russet spots outlined in black. The mirrored gold face, meanwhile, stands out against the matte finish of the watch’s bezel and band, adding a whimsical play on textures and, of course, infusing a bit of bling-bling braggadocio to the design, making it feel more grounded in hip-hop culture and style.

The limited-edition digital display watch is shock resistant and water resistant up to 200 meters, and it includes an EL backlight, 48-city world time, three multi-function alarms, a 1/100th second stopwatch, a countdown timer, and 12/24 hour formats.
