Get Truly Outrageous with the Shopbop x Jem and the Holograms Capsule Collection
With the live action Jem and the Holograms film opening on October 23rd, fans of the ’80s cartoon are breaking out their star-shaped earrings and pastel pink hair dye. To get you in the mood for the glamour and glitter, fashion and fame, Shopbop has just released a new Hasbro-approved Jem and the Holograms capsule collection featuring apparel, jewelry, sunglasses, and even flash tattoos that celebrate Jerrica’s stage-loving alter ego and her fierce bandmates.
The Shopbop x Jem and the Holograms collection includes playful jewelry from Venessa Arizaga, EF Collection, and Vita Fede; cheeky and theatrical A-Morir sunglasses; retro-flavored Wildox T-shirts and sweatshirts with printed phrases and vintage Jem graphics; Sonix iPhone cases; a Tamara Mellon skirt; and a printed YARNZ cashmere scarf.
The color schemes, girl power motifs, and visual imagery in the Shopbop x Jem and the Holograms collection capture the essence of the cartoon (and presumably, the movie adaptation), with stars, lightning bolts, electric guitars, palm trees, microphones, musical notes, and lipstick references throughout. The Shopbop x Jem and the Holograms Venessa Arizaga Rising Star Necklace ($270 at Shopbop.com), pictured above second from top, captures the riotous energy of the beloved girl band with turquoise, pink, neon yellow, purple, and lime green stars clustered alongside pink and purple lightning bolt-shaped charms, metallic musical note charms, and even a pink dice charm with rhinestones in lieu of the traditional dots. For a slightly less audacious touch, the collection offers such options as the Shopbop x Jem and the Holograms Vita Fede Ombre Mini Titan Bracelet ($695 at Shopbop.com), pictured fourth above, a funky new take on the designer’s classic open-front bangle featuring 24k rose gold spiked tips at the ends and a watercolor-esque, ombré, powdery pink, purple, and yellow covering along its length.
