Never one for the drab or dreary, designer Mara Hoffman treated fashion insiders to a performance by a Mariachi band as they circled their way around The Box at Lincoln Center on Friday, September 9th, ogling at the Mexican-inspired designs comprising her exuberant, free-spirited, and deliciously sexy Spring 2012 collection.
Color abounded in the Joy Cioci Spring 2012 presentation, with models donning long-sleeved belted frocks with embroidered rosette accents long the bodice and free-floating ruffles at the semi-sheer cuffs; off-the-shoulder blouses with watercolor-worthy prints in vibrant fuchsia and orange featuring wispy bat-wing sleeves; sleeveless marigold dresses with tiers of ruffled chiffon and and explosion of Victorian collar-like ruffles at the neckline; lavender evening gowns with fluid petal pieces creating an aquatic feeling; and much more.
