When I heard a tornado had touched down in Brooklyn and Queens yesterday, then looked out the window and saw a torrential downpour, I almost called it a day and dove head-first into my bed.

I had a blast today at the Bronx Terminal Market’s Back-to-School Event, which featured an impromptu fashion show presented by Burlington Coat Factory and emceed by yours truly.
After a few days laying low and nursing cups of hot ginger tea to soothe a sore throat (not to mention the sniffles, lingering headaches, and the beginnings of a throat-tickling, sleep-minimizing, completely irksome cough), I finally woke up today feeling ready to put on my game face and hit the New York City streets.
