If there’s one woman who has consistently proven that hats aren’t merely utilitarian accessories designed to keep heads warm during blustery winter days or to shield women in tropical climates from harsh and oppressive-feeling rays of sunshine, it would be Eugenia Kim.
On Thursday evening, I had the honor of attending the Icons of Style awards hosted by Vanidades, a beloved Spanish-language fashion, beauty, and lifestyle magazine that I grew up reading (my mom had a subscription when I was a child in Puerto Rico) and which, to a great extent, probably lured me into both a career in publishing and, later, a more acute focus on fashion.
We all know that behind every strong man there is a stronger woman and, for Vince Camuto, the lady in question is none other than his wife of over 20 years, Louise.

Early this morning, I visited the Telemundo studios in New Jersey to discuss back-to-school fashion trends on “Primera Edición.” We had some adorable child models for the segment (shown in the second photo above) who smiled their little hearts out and charmed the camera every chance they got.
