Earlier today, I stopped by Telemundo NY’s “Acceso Total” to showcase some amazing holiday gift ideas for beauty enthusiasts — everything from luxury makeup brushes and sonic facial cleansing brushes to picturesque eyeshadow palettes, body butter collections, rollerball fragrances, hair care kits, holiday-themed nail enamel sets, and a surprise-filled beauty advent calendar.
The Wild Wild West galloped onto runways for Fall/Winter 2015, with Gucci, Tom Ford, M Missoni, Valentino and Tory Burch all toying with cowgirl-inspired pieces ranging from playful denim shirt dresses and fringe leather and suede jackets to saddle bags, cowboy boots, and rugged jewelry pieces fashioned with leather, rope, and concho shells.
For Rodarte’s Fall 2015 show during New York Fashion Week, designing sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy relied on Sally Hansen to mastermind a memorable nail look that would harmonize with the inspiration behind the garments showcased, as well as with the hair and makeup looks created for the runway.
These nail colors are not meant for a Netflix-and-chill session — they’re destined to be seen, to be flaunted, to do a bit of peacocking and attract onlookers.

If you spend enough time shopping for, reading about, or reviewing beauty products, chances are you’ll develop an eagle eye when it comes to spotting them while watching your favorite TV shows.
Though the 3.1 Phillip Lim line is known for its sporty overtones and minimalist street chic aesthetic, the designer’s 10th anniversary collection stepped outside of the concrete jungle to applaud the wondrousness of nature, with a “Stop and Smell the Roses” theme that embraced dirtiness and organic colors and textures — so much so that the set incorporated mounds of organic earth.
To call the nails at the Spring 2016 The Blonds runway show “art,” would be to do these miniature sculptural works a disservice — it would be akin to comparing a painterly graphic T-shirt, however pretty, to the grandiose design of the Sphinx.
