I used to think there was no way to top the spherical spiked wand in Givenchy’s Phenomen’Eyes mascara, but I think I’ve found another magic wand with the curvilinear green applicator in Clinique’s High Lengths Mascara.
As a former Days Of Our Lives junkie (yes, I was all up in the evil Stefano’s business back in high school), I chuckled a little when I first heard of Hourglass Cosmetics because it instantly made me think of Days’ opening sequence, where the voiceover goes, “Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.” Needless to say, there is absolutely no affiliation between the daytime soap opera and this edgy line of cosmetics (except, of course, in my loopy little brain).
With a name like “Riveting,” MAC’s new spring collection could hardly afford to be filled with wallflower-esque neutral shades or preppy pale pinks.

Going into the backstage area for the Tracy Reese Fall 2010 show, which was held on Monday, February 15th at New York City’s Bryant Park, I knew to expect ultra feminine makeup and hair looks — but, since that’s quite a broad spectrum, I was curious to see exactly how that girlish charm would be manifested.
