File this under the you-learn-something-new-every-day category: athletic footwear and apparel giant Reebok takes its name from the animal known as the rhebok, a species of antelope endemic to South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Swaziland.  Going back to the brand’s original source of inspiration, Reebok’s latest limited-edition sneaker collection celebrates the wildlife found throughout the desert plains and montane habitats  of Western and Southern Africa. The Reebok Classic Leather Safari Pack, then, consists of three sneakers with animal print textile overlays and bright, safari-inspired suede panels that make each design pop.

The Reebok Classic Leather Safari Sneaker ($79.99 at Reebok.com) is available in three colorways: Blue Slate/Opal, Shark/Black, and Canopy Green/Stone. Each sneaker features all of the qualities associated with the Reebok Classic — from the plush pigskin nubuck uppers to the low-cut silhouette, cushioned die-cut EVA midsole, padded foam sockliner, and grippy gum rubber outsole — but it modernizes the design via the textural and chromatic juxtapositions created through the suede overlays, colored laces, and subtle animal print graphics.
