Holiday Gift Guide For Chic Cinephiles: Part 4 — Gifts Inspired By Mindy Lahiri

For the fourth installment of this year’s epic Holiday Gift Guide, we’re paying homage to one of the most lovable female characters in primetime television: Dr. Mindy Lahiri! Sure, she’s high-maintenance (the woman has an entire room that she transformed into a closet) and she’s prone to dramatics (sprawling out on the rug inside her office when faced with a romantic disappointment and trying to dismantle a stripper pole she felt was an affront to feminism while crashing a college party), but she’s hilarious, sassy, fearlessly frank, smart, and impeccably well-dressed. If you know someone who admires the Canadian Indie rock band and respects Mindy’s eye for décor, gift them this two-color letterpress poster, which was hand printed for a Broken Social Scene show in Buffalo, NY on September 25th 2010. Each poster features arched lines that make a semi-circle shape but, when placed next to another poster (as shown here), they create a funky sphere. Take a peek inside Mindy’s cupboards, and you won’t find blue-and-white porcelain patterns that mimic those popularized by the Ming Dynasty in China or, for that matter, platters with boring cottage rose prints.
