Cynthia Rowley for Tweezerman Designer Collection

Talk about sprinkling some fun into grooming. By constantly releasing new colorways, prints, and patterns of its iconic brow shaping and nail grooming tools, Tweezerman not only stays relevant (the mere quality of its products accomplish this feat) but it manages to stay buzz-worthy (an entirely different achievement and one that can prove elusive in a hyper competitive market).  One of the primary ways in which Tweezerman has tapped into ever-evolving style trends has been through its designer collaborations, projects that have included associations with brands and tastemakers like Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Patricia Field, and Harajuku Lovers. Next Thursday, July 19th, Tweezerman will unveil its latest designer collection, envisioned by New York City-based powerhouse  Cynthia Rowley and available exclusively at Sephora andSephora.com.

The Cynthia Rowley for Tweezerman 2012 Limited Edition Designer Series Collection features aesthetic references to her Spring 2011 collection, a colorful vision informed by the Mod aesthetic of the 1960s, with striped patterns, polka dots, and geometric prints galore.  The collection, then, incorporates an original foulard print consisting of a mash-up of a horizontal stripe pattern and a googly eye-esque polka dot pattern. On the Tweezerman Mini Slant Tweezers ($15) and Filemate Nail File ($5), the pattern appears with a red backdrop accentuated by white, royal blue, and carnation pink stripes and dots. On the traditional Tweezerman Slant Tweezers ($25), meanwhile, the pattern appears in two additional colorways: one with a black background and royal blue, white, and fern green accents; and another with a sky blue background and red, white, and black motifs.

Sporty but feminine, these quirky designs bring a sense of whimsy to Tweezerman’s award-winning tools, showing that, much like fashion, grooming rituals can be both functional and fun. Look out for the collection on the 19th!
